If you’ve been running a vacation rental around Mille Lacs Lake, you probably know there are several cleaning companies in the area but their quality often doesn’t meet the expectations of guests paying thousands for their stay. While I haven’t personally used other companies, I’ve heard from other rental owners about missed cleans, beds being remade with dirty linens, and getting hit with extra charges on cleans because the guests left it messy. I also have a lot of outdoor toys and water stuff. They were more than willing to check for missing or broken items between turnovers. A standard cleaning company just isn’t the right fit for a vacation rental.

I own several vacation rentals, including one near Treasure Island in Florida and another in Denver. Each of my properties has local management, and they all have their go-to housekeeping teams. I think the Crosslake area is good for summer nightly rates, but finding anyone to handle things in that area is certainly a challenge. My manager there uses Cabin Guardians, and they do a great job. My property has some unique features, like a fish-cleaning shed, and they were more than willing to customize their work to what I wanted. I'm two and a half hours away, it’s a huge to have them around when something comes up.
